Other Outreach Ministries

“Below is a short list of other outreach ministries with which our congregation has a connection.”

Missionary Computer Fellowship: In our Wesley Building, we host the Missionary Computer Fellowship. This ministry trains volunteers to work on computers, build new computers, and repair/upgrade computers for delivery to Haiti, Brazil, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Africa and about a dozen other locations where they are desperately needed. If interested in participating in this ministry please e-mail

Outreach Love Tutoring Ministry: Outreach Love is a tutoring ministry for children from Fern Creek Elementary School. "Outreach Love" seeks to positively impact the lives of at-risk children and see them become all that God intended through tutoring, mentoring and teaching them to hope, dream and work to realize their potential. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities please contact Ros Mullen at rozren@aol.com.

For a review of the program and First Church's involvment see the Florida Annual Conference E-Review article "Orlando students, professionals join forces for at-risk kids"

Shepherd's Hope Medical Ministry: Shepherd's Hope is a faith-based organization providing free medical care to low-income, uninsured persons. The Health Center at Grand Elementary School in the downtown area has a critical need for general volunteers, translators, and Licensed Health Care Professionals. Florida law provides sovereign immunity to licensed health care providers who volunteer with Shepherd's Hope. Medical experience is not required for general volunteers.

Please consider volunteering just three hours, one night a month to help the less fortunate in our community. For more information on becoming a Shepherd's Hope volunteer, please call 407-876-6699 ext 13.
